Come and enjoy SOYA’s 200hr Extended Program in Creston, BC. The extended program is an excellent choice for those who can’t get away for an immersion. This program gives you time to learn more gradually, allow the teachings to settle, and to put the studies into practice before the next weekend session. SOYA’s curriculum will help you excel at your yoga teacher career and your yoga lifestyle. This 200-hr program explores Hatha Yoga and Philosophy giving you the tools, knowledge and experience to teach yoga classes. Your SOYA 200hr Yoga teacher certification qualifies you to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Daily in-class sessions include detailed instruction and practice in various styles of Hatha Yoga. The comprehensive curriculum includes philosophy, meditation, mantra, pranayama, anatomy, asana, and teaching skills. Students design a series of class lesson plans and practice teaching throughout the entire program, developing confidence, expertise, and the ability to modify asanas according to varied needs.

SOYA 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs begin at home where students complete assignments and maintain a focused personal practice during the months leading up to program start. Ongoing support is offered during home study through a Facebook group, email, and phone access. Lessons completed at home are reviewed, discussed, and put into practice.

Program Fees: $3200 + gst. Register before Jan 1st and receive $300 off! Fees include Martin Kirk Anatomy online training ($300 US value), all books and manual. A non-refundable deposit of $650 +gst ($682.50) is required upon registration. Payment plan available

Fees include your teacher training manual, textbooks, supplies, and online Anatomy training with Martin Kirk ($300US value).

**Program fees do not include accommodation. Billeting may be available for the Extended format for reasonable fees. These costs are additional and paid by you directly to the accommodation provider.

South Okanagan Yoga Academy is a Registered School with Yoga Alliance and the Canadian Affiliate for the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA). SOYA has successfully trained over 400 teachers in small group settings. Our graduates are well-prepared to instruct and we offer ongoing support to our students after graduation as they advance their skills as teachers.
