I was introduced to yoga by watching Erich Schiffmann’s ‘Yoga, Mind and Body’ video. It was love at first practice. I began to explore yoga philosophy which lead to 500hr yoga teacher training with Mugs McConnell at SOYAYoga. Teaching since 2003, I have continued my yoga education in certification with Erich Schiffmann, and a variety of courses including Restorative Yoga, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, and Partner Yoga, Koshas, Vinyasa Krama, Yoga Sutras and Samkhya Philosophy. My main influences are the teachings of Mugs McConnell (SOYA) and Erich Schiffmann. I have served as a Lead Trainer with SOYA (South Okanagan Yoga Academy).
In addition, I am a working certified Health Information Management Professional, and enjoy time at home on the mountain with my husband, gardening, reading, hiking, snowshoeing, and being with my family.
I believe that yoga is love in action and is a transformative, life-long practice. I am committed to creating a supportive space for students to explore self-awareness, self-acceptance, inner presence and to learn yoga philosophy and techniques.
