ARE SOYA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMS YOGA ALLIANCE CERTIFIED?

Yes! All SOYA programs are Yoga Alliance Certified. Once you have completed the training program and have received your certificate you can apply to Yoga Alliance for their professional designation.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE SOYA CRESTON 200-HOUR TEACHER TRAINING AND WHAT DO THE FEES INCLUDE?

Program fees: $3200 + gst. Register before Jan 1st and receive $300 off! Fees include Martin Kirk Anatomy online training ($300 US value), all books and manual. A deposit of $650 +gst ($682.50) is required. Payment plan available.

WHAT PAYMENT PLAN ARRANGEMENTS DOES SOYA OFFER?

Once the deposit is paid, we can offer a payment plan leading up the start of the training date. This can be done by credit card, cheque, or cash. All training fees must be paid in full before the start date of the training.

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT SOYA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMS?

With its roots in the Sivananda lineage, SOYA training is inclusive of many styles of hatha yoga such as Ashtanga, Sivananda, Yin, Restorative, and Vinyasa while incorporating thorough study of yoga philosophy. This outstanding aspect of the SOYA Teacher Training embraces unity in all yogis, regardless of paths and personal styles.

HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO I NEED TO ATTEND SOYA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING?

For SOYA’s 200-hour training, the minimum is one year of practice. For 300-hour SOYA training a Yoga Alliance-recognized 200-hour training is required.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE PROGRAM?

A regular, consistent practice is a must for any yoga teacher. Start a personal practice if possible and attend different classes to get a feel for various teaching styles. Keeping a journal to track thoughts, experiences, inquiries, and ideas can be beneficial.

WHICH IS MORE BENEFICIAL, AN EXTENDED/WEEKEND OR AN INTENSIVE FORMAT?

We designed our programs to be flexible, so students can mold the program to their own individual needs. The best way to decide is to consider your finances and schedule.

I WORK FULL TIME. WILL I BE ABLE TO MANAGE BOTH WORK AND SOYA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING?

We have had many students complete the program while maintaining the demands of full-time work. The program demands significant time and energy, so be prepared to accommodate this into your schedule. The Extended programs a organized to assist in working it around work schedules.

IF I MISS A DAY OR WEEKEND CAN I MAKE UP THE TIME?

All training days are mandatory in order for you to gain the knowledge needed to be a successful teacher and to have enough contact hours to meet Yoga Alliance standards. That said, we recognize that sometimes there are legitimate reasons that you will be unable to attend. Missed hours will have to be made up with private sessions from faculty members and will incur an additional charge.

WILL I BE PREPARED TO TEACH AT THE END OF THE 200-HOUR SOYA COURSE?

Absolutely! SOYA 200-hour programs help students to understand the roots of yogic wisdom while developing teaching skills and class designs. You will graduate with a set of completed and tested lesson plans so that you can begin teaching right away!

I HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED A 200-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING COURSE WITH ANOTHER SCHOOL. CAN I ATTEND SOYA 300-HOUR TRAINING?

The SOYA 300-hour Advanced Upgrade Extended Program welcomes those who have completed their RYT200 from any Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS) and wish to immerse themselves in a traditional yoga lifestyle. As well SOYA offers a 200 hr Refresh & Reboot option at a discounted fee to attend the 200 hr YTT program if you feel the you need a little refresh in your training.
